Custom air cleaner, pipes, and a mild cam has been running just fine for years but I figured a carb tune-up was due. Replaced the #45 pilot and #185 main with the new ones and then the rest of the new parts.  A little fiddling and the bike startup up. Let it warm and tried to adjust the mixture.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I rebuilt my CV carb and installed the parts that came with the Tuners Kit (Needle and 170/42 jets), new pump, float fuel valve, gaskets also from other CV kits.  Plus changed to a Max Fuel Inlet elbow and High Flow Fuel Valve.  There was definite performance improvement from before...no hesitation whatsoever.<br />

However, when I blip the throttle it seem to hang around 1500 rpm (don&#039;t have Tach) for a half second prior to settling to idle.  This is pretty consistent.  I know half a second isn&#039;t...<br />

I have a 2001 Harley FXST 97&quot; Carbed motor built with 10.5:1 corrected compression 195 psi CCP. S&amp;S 585 cam and dynatek ignition set on 28B.  The carb is the factory CV40 using a Tuner kit 200 main jet 50 pilot screw set 2 turns out.  Also have the velocity needle and cvp emulsion tube as well as having the Hi-Flow elbow.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve installed the tuners kit on my 03 Super Glide with the recommended jets (48 idle and 190 main) and it seems to run the smoothest at about 1 3/4 turns out, the install instructions said it should be between 2 and 3 turns out. Could this be because of my elevation (6,000 ft)?  If so should I go down a jet size for the idle jet?<br />

I have a 1997 Sportster 883 hugger that would cough and backfire upon quick acceleration. I thought it was typical sportster cough or a dirty carb, so I ordered the CVP carb kit, pulled the carb, did a nice deep clean (it was dirty) and performed the carb kit install. <br />

To start, the carb must have been played with before because it had two shims on the needle, a 180 main jet and a 45 pilot jet...<br />

The bike has an aftermarket high flow air cleaner, RB Racing 2 into 1 exhaust system, and recently installed S&amp;S G510 cams. I purchase jets, emulsions tube,  Velocity needle and EZ just screw from CV Performance after installing the cams. The jets are currently 46/185. The 185 main jet seems small for the bike set up but it is not lean at higher rpms. I am having the problem with the EZ just screw not impacting the idle...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have a 2002 Buell M2 that I need to get a tuners kit for. It has a V&amp;H SS2R pipe, wrapped headers, and Figure Machine air cleaner. Before wrapping the header and adding the air cleaner the bike ran well but had a miss around 3K rpm. It also required a lot of choke for the first five minutes of operation to maintain idle. I haven&#039;t had the carb apart so I am not sure what jet sizes I have so I would like a range recommendation to make sure I am covered when I begin tuning. im getting a slight stumble at 4500 rpms. if i accelerate through, i do not notice, but if i try and cruise in the 4000-5000 rpm range, like through curves aggressively, it is noticeable. i was able to elliminate the stumble by adjusting the idle mixture screw to a leaner setting, 1/2 turn out from seated.  however, that caused my idle...<br />
