I'm watching the AHC channel and a special titled "Chosin
". It's December 1950 and our men pushed the North Koreans to the China border. Then 300,000 Chinese soldiers swarmed in. 15,000 marines on the west side of the reservoir and 3,000 army on the east side. OMG. I never learned anything about this war. Less than 7,000 marines survived. The show was filled with personal accounts from marines and soldiers that lived. Rifle companies where 11 lived. Platoons where 17 lived. On and on. There isn't any of this taught here in the states. Our education system is screwing our proud and brave men and history. I'm watching this and tearing up.

I forget the weather conditions exactly but think it was sub zero. Our military took a pounding and the survival rate was low. Just like some of the battles in Vietnam like Hue there was very little known at the time, our government did not always tell the public all.

I wouldn't be surprised if that idiot Obomma boy does an executive order and normalizes relations with North Korea. It's very sad that so many of the kids today know nothing of our history, but they can sure chant kill a cop. Everything seems to be upside down anymore.
When the Chinese entered that war we took a hard beating for awhile.

The Korean war was a multinational war effort, my grandmother's brother was killed there. It really is the "Forgotten War", as almost no one seems to remember it today.

Yep and if it weren't for the south there never would have been a Cival War AND we would not have the problems with the blacks today.

You westerners must sleep during Civics classes, Slaves were sold by the tribesmen leaders of the tribes in Africa.

White southern men didn't get on ships and go take slaves out of africa by force, the slave trade was a co-operative venture between tribes leaders and slave importers,

Much of slavery started in the north, Most of the founding fathers had slave labor, much of the import of slaves was done by Yankee imperialist dogs who not only owned them, but sold them, created and ran the market for slave trade.

We just sipped sweet tea and grew cotton, it was nice and quiet until the yankees decided that it needed to be changed, just like always,, slavery, the new deal, social security, medicare/medicaid, welfare, section 8 housing, prohibition, you name it, it was started by elitists from the North.

    :p

And who where the ones who bought all the slaves, you southerners. All those rich land owners in the south were democrats and it was a Republican president who freed them. I still blame the southerners for all the blacks in this country.

and dropped off along the normal inbound ports, NYC, Boston, Philly, put on the market and sold, eventually into the south but the South didn't start, create, or make the slave trade,

That was going on for many years before, heck for thousands of years, african tribe leaders were selling off their competitions sons and daughters for many
years to remain in power, lets not try and make it out that the only slavery in the USA and the world was due to white farmers in the south, because it wasn't,

To a point but many southern ports were places they were brought into and inslaved to work the farms and plantations. If they didn't want cheap labor there would not have been any need for them. The south got what they sowed and then it spread to the northern cities. And then from there over the years the whole thing degraded to what it is now and the south who were all democrats then are to blame. Now were bringing in Muslims and it's the Democrats again.

ya got that backwards, slaves were brought in through the north well before the south was even brought into statehood,

Washington, Jefferson, all had slaves, with PA, VA based plantations...
well before GA, SC, FL, AL were even states...

And the south exploited it and exploded it into a real problem. By the way many in the north including Washington set their slaves free. Your democrats in the south were the real problem.

Nope, south did what the south should have done, paid for labor by the piece, that's piece of person, they saw (as much of the world did up to that point) labor as a purchase price.

There was cost to slave labor, you bought them, paid for the care, food, clothed, etc, it wasn't "free" labor, and there wasn't enough labor in the USA to keep up with the growth of the market for southern cotton and other plants, your uppity white reconstructionist yankees were too good to work in the fields, much like your liberal leftists libtards don't want to work with their hands today, so they are importing cheap (used to be called slave) labor with the hispanics.

See how it never changes, northern progressives pushing their ideas on others based on their population numbers and ability to force change, even today, the progressive yankee brethren are bringing in low paid labor over the border, then setting them free to help vote for them...

We had it under control, the yankees stepped in, screwed up a good thing and now they're doing it again....
