It's about the pics I can't seem to upload into the motorcycle photo gallery. Managed to get 'em in my computer via the printer. That was a major victory! I think they are being rejected because they're too big. One of them is in the 2.66MB range (3648x2736). Can't find "compression" to make them smaller. Mac the Wife can't, either, and she ain't no dummy when it comes to computers. Finally, she did manage to get them a little smaller, but not nearly enough. Spent so many hours here in the chair today my a** got sore and my eyes began to cross!

You can use the paint feature that you should have on your computer. Those size pictures that you have are way to large to upload here.
Find a picture right click on it and go to open with, then select paint, you may even have to do a search but paint is the basic program for your computer unless its a MAC computer and if so I don't know. Once opened with select Image and then select stretch skew and open it. You will see at the top of it, Horizontal and vertical. Insert the percentage you want. into each one. In your case you probably want to put in 50% for each one then hit save. Save it were you want. Do the same with each one.
A better way is to have a program that will select all the photo's at the same time and can resize them all together.
I use a program called Firehand Ember Max for the business. It can do a lot but its one I had to purchase. You could also send them to me and I can resize them and then send em back to you.

i use paint also....but for pics that large...30-30% will bring them down to about 600x800 which the site and emails love........

When I resize my pics I set the re sizer on my program to around 600X800. You can also set your camera to its lowest setting which is usually around the 600X800 size or about that size. .

Thanks guys, I have the paint feature and will try again today. Feel better this morning. Sucking down a bucket full of coffee. A** not so sore. I can see straight. Life is good. Well, maybe all this sitting is helping me get my riding chops back together! LOL!

Mine was like that until we moved here in '99. Now it's shorter because of my teaching job. I think it would freak them out if I let it get too long again!

Makes for great reading though don't it? I'm getting an education. I have a Canon Power Shot A490 (whatever all that means) and have tried to find the picture size so I could reduce the numbers and make it easier to transfer but for the life of me I can't find it. It's real easy on my old Sony digital but not so easy on the Canon and it's newer. Reckon I'll just keep on reading and looking.:confused:

After mucho machinations, my friends, I got a couple of pics of ol' Bob in the motorcycle photo album! I haven't had a thrill like that since - well, lets not go there! I'm gonna try and get in a few more pics before I forget how I did it. I was getting hung up on left clicks and not using any right ones. Mac the Wife tells me they give more options. I got hung up in the sizing thing, too. She also tells me that changing the pixel settings lower on a camera makes for poorer images. Not as sharp. It's sooo easy to mess things up with all the gizmos we have to play with these days . . .

Thanks, guys. Mac the Wife is cool about the solo seat and she doesn't want a bike of her own, at least not yet! She sez I'll be the scourge of the neighborhood, Ha-ha! A lot of my neighbors have dropped by from time to time to check on the progress of the build. I've heard it said that a bike isn't really finished until you burn some gas with your buddies. I posted a few more pics of ol' Bob last night. Dang, I'm starting to get used to this ol' computer. Things keep goin' like this, maybe I'll change my avatar!
