:rolleyes:There are all kinds of pegs available, pegs that look good, pegs that feel good, peg extensions, relocating brackets, pegs with heel rest and then there’s mini-floor boards. After that there are about a thousand variations of each. I’ve tried mini-floor boards but only see them as a cheaper alternative to passenger floor boards. I’m told that pegs with heel rest make good Hi-way bar pegs if they are set right because you can move around on them a little but I personally didn’t care for them as rider pegs. Iso-pegs helped before balanced engines to take out a little of the vib. The desired style and look vari with each person and the so called theme of each bike. The one thing I would suggest stay away from extreme radical pegs that have no grip. Make sure that there is a little rubber to set your boot on. But all this is just my opinion and we know what that’s worth!:D

when my wife still rode on back she once rode the second half of a trip on a piece of 1/2"all thread 3 nuts and a piece heater hose.

:rolleyes:Another thought is flat faced directional pegs and some others have a positioning bolt in the end. Once you get them set use loc-tite or they tend to come loose and turn or even come off! Then it’s eeerch… WHERE the hell did my peg go!!!:gah:

I had a set of flat chrome with the shoe stop on the ends and they used clamps to attach to the frame - but they never would stay in place and the bolts would strip out if you tightened them down - finally got a set that mounted on my foreward controls and problem solved. Then the OL sold the bike while I was out of town. Dern it!

I've got the pegs with the o-rings, they are forever breaking o-rings, but I work in an industrial shop, so, no shortage of repalcements, but sometimes I wish I had a heel pad, just to have another position to ride in.

No matter what you get, soon you'll get tired of em and want something different, thats what keeps the after market guys in business. Personaly I almost could have a swap meet in my garage from the parts I've bought and switched out, same a most folks. that's what make HD great, you don't have to be saddled with the same thing forever. my .02.
