We took a short ride even though it was fairly cool and getting cloudy which meant it was going to get cooler so I needed to get these old bones to someplace warm. Even in view of that it was still a very good ride. We stopped at the Bristol Motor Speedway and took a pic to share with everyone.

We just got dug out from a big snow. My wife and I were talking about the road conditions last Sunday when we went to a wedding and reception. No bikes seen out for a week. We saw only one other bike yesterday but like you were sayinga bout going stair crazy, we just had to get out even though it was cold and getting cloudy. Spring's closer than it was.

Bruton Smith does the "Festival of Lights" every year at Christmas that you drive through. The route takes you around the track and if it's not too crowded, they'll let you speed up a bit and move up the bank. Most folks wind up not going up too far because you have to go at least 65-70 to stay up there. They also set up an ice skate rink. It ends this Saturday evening and as he does at every race, he's going to end with a big fireworks display which we can hear (and see the flashes) from our house about 5 miles away. The charge is $10/person to go through but the money goes to local children's charities so I guess it's a pretty good event.

I'd like to have some of your heat about now. I was stationed at Ft. Sam for medic training in '69. About the honey do list - when I got my wife interested in riding with me, well the honey do list can sort of be secondary to a good ride. Not sure if your wife rides but if she doesn't, well you might try that. But then I've still got the honey do items when we get back but I'm always in a better state of mind.
