    Just recently i finished a basket case Brit ride, rebuilt it to look like a childhood chopper my friend had.Right now im working on the shovel i got back in 88 while stationed in Germany,I rescued it from a wate of rations looser who went AWOL and left it to my 70 year old landlady to cover the rent.

    wow nice Builds , I had a BSA pretty close to that, a 650 lighting , I didn't keep it long after a wreck , Throttle hung up & was idle at 45 mph went too hang a U turn when the clutch arm flip over & spun out right from under me & I landed on side of my face caught the corner of my glasses & cut my forehead bad over 100 stitches from side to side across my forehead , wife was riding right behind me a few other friends

    Dang, Cowboy, you were lucky it wasn't worse - but it was bad enough. Those are a couple of cool scooters 86a. A friend of mine got thown out of a bar once, many years ago - "86ed" they called it LOL.

    dam kid has school exams and took my laptop
    something like that would put me off riding for awhile as for the 86A thing, I certainly have been" 86ed" out of a few drinking establishments in my time, including Clint Eastwood's bar in Barstow,;) but that is not the reason got the handle, on my last tour in Afghanistan I was in charge of a convoy escort platoon and that was my call sign. And by the way joshbob I'm jealous of your rocker covers.

    They're polished - not chrome. Lots of elbow grease & Blue Magic got 'em that way. Sort of like spit-shining a pair of boots LOL. And thank you for your service to our country.

    I had some work at the Marine Corp Logistics Base in Yermo and spent nights in Barstow. I had great Mexican food in Barstow!

    A bear walks into a bar in Barstow and sits down, bangs on the bar with his paw and demands a beer.

    The bartender approaches and says, "We don't serve beer to bears in bars in Barstow."

    The bear, becoming angry, demands again that he be served a beer. The bartender tells him again, more forcefully, "We don't serve beer to belligerent bears in bars in Barstow."

    The bear, very angry now, says, "If you don't serve me a beer, I'm going to eat that lady sitting at the end of the bar." The bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bully bears in bars in Barstow."

    The bear goes to the end of the bar, and as promised, eats the woman. He comes back to his seat and again demands a beer. The bartender states, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bully bears in bars in Barstow that are on drugs."

    The bear says, "I'm not on drugs."

    The bartender says, "You are now. That was a barbitchyouate."

    Well done 86a, she's sitting just perfect. What carbs are you running on the BSA. Had a couple triumphs back in the day...so glad to have gotten rid of them. Whitworth tools, reverse polarity and amal carbs.....lucas prince of darkness is what we use to joke.
