...is coming in the mails. Two reasons why I'm switchin'. 1.) I keep burning holes in the foam whenever the ol' thang coughs, usually when I start it. And 2.) When I ride, my leg is right on the mesh air cleaner I now have and it has oil stained all my jeans just below the knee.

Anyhow, when it arrives I will post pics. The air cleaner is pretty cool looking. Has louvers in the edge of the chrome cover and the filter is corrugated paper. I can upgrade the filter to a K&N later.

Tattoo tells me I need to switch from a 46 to a 48 pilot to eliminate the coughing at starting. I'll see what the new air cleaner does first, as I suspect it won't let quite as much air in as the one I have now...

Hope your new air filter works out good for you.
And you get your bike to stop coughing.

Mabe one day you will break down and git a new bike that you can do all they from a computer before you get too OLD.
And man do they ride a lot better.
You can keep the one you have too.

I think this is the only motorcycle I'll ever have. My friend down the road has a Heritage he might be wanting to sell. Still more than I could ever come up with. He has over $30,000 in it.

Besides, I think Mac the Wife would want a new roof on the house before I could get a newer bike.

    No new heritage cost 30,000

If you don't want a Bagger. Go Demo a Dyna FatBob.
It won't cost you anything , its just a Demo.
It has Dual disc brakes on the front and the fat tires make it ride good and it handles the curves super good.
The dual headlights are great if the sun goes down.

And you will not break the bank.

A new roof is probably more important with winter coming on. A Heritage costs new around 20,000 used they run 12,000 to 16,000 for a good one.

However there is a old saying that says, you can always tell a true biker by looking at his or her house. Weeds are growing up over the fence, house needs paint, floors are full of dust, junk laying around the yard. Well maybe that is to the extreme but there has been many times I have even put off doing things here because I'm out on the bike. :D

All the old folks got rid of their nice homes
    Got away from HOA assoc
Downsized the next house and got a bigger garage
Less taxes, insurance, and didn't take as much to cool and heat it
    If you ask them
All they need is a small place to live
They want to do things, go places and watch satellite tv
    Screw everything else

It's a Mooneyes from Lowbrow Customs. Remember the old Mooneyes hub caps? Used to look really cool on hot rods.

Anyway, it came in the mail today. Put it on, went for a ride and it works great. Got caught in the rain coming home but I just had to go for a ride. Here's some pics. I think it looks great, too.

Only thing I have to fabricate is a new bracket to hold the carb up.

Kinda small, wonder how it affects power on the engine,
watch mileage and fuel mix on the CV might have to adjust it a bit.
