Oil lines

    Friend of mine has a 85 FXRC and it needs new oil lines. The stock ones lasted 15 years, the replacement ones were Gates fuel lines and have only lasted half that time. I figure there must be some "hot setup" for HD oil lines nowadays. I used Tyvek fuel lines on my old Triumph and was impressed with their durability. Anything like that for HD? The lines are 3/8" ID.     some of the best oil llines i have uses were made of silicone....very heat/oil/gas resistant. it comes in colors. there are also a wide variety of braded oil lines, and steel braided lines. the steel llines are a bit harder to work with due to the braiding wanting to fray.....check in a automotive hop up type catalog or on line store.....lots of cool stuff for bikes in there.....:)

    I'd like to stay away from braided, as the ends are kinda messy, I don't want to change any fittings, either. Am also worried about chafing as one of the lines runs under the starter.
    Tyvek is a kind of silicone, I believe. Any source for this?
