one size bigger safely, normally.................your pick on the best tire.....same question as best oil...when picking a tire you have to factor in riding style, weight, ect. most manufactures have a spec sheet to pic the best tire for you.....check them all....

I've had the best mileage from the Metzler Marathon 880s.

I'd only add that no matter what tire you chose, Spend a few bucks and buy a pressure gauge you can keep handy.
Check your pressure each time before you go out to ride and add air even if it's only off by a few pounds.
You'd be surprised at how much difference keeping the pressure where the manufacturer recommend for the load you carry will make in tire life.

Hey Cowboy, did you have to do anything else to make the 140 fit, or does it clear everything stock ?

Hello Boys just got back from a 3 week - nowhere ride, had to go Alberta oil sands for work. Took the Harley and got paid to ride (sweet deal) did 300 - 500 miles per day!!

Rear tire is as bald as a baby's bottom and I just bought the MET's ME 880, have heard they are the best of 2 worlds for traction and long life. The marathons are designed for heavy cruisers and durable!

Suhhweeet !!!! Figured on the Metz when the time comes, (next season, we're about done here) and will go to the bigger size. With the Dunlops on it now, the front looks bigger than the back. Liked the Metzlers on the Wide Glide alot, although the Michelins did well too.
