Hey Guys ( Newbie Is Still Here ) :)

First I like to apolized to Paul first on this forum 4 not writing him.

Now on with the saga of my still down time with me Harley.

    Here we go:

I replaced my clutch cable with a new one. In doing so one must re-set the clutch at the Darby Cover.

So I did what was looking at via YOUTUBE. I un-lock the locknut on the adj.screw. I was to being the adj.screw all the way out; I was to also bring out
the adjustment screw. When it bottoms out; I'm to start bring it i till I feel the slightly resistance I was to turn the adj.screw while I held the screw with my allen.

So I held the lock nut with me wrench I was holding the screw with my allen wrench somehow I BROKE THE SCREW ~ DARN !

So good ol' Harley is charging me $18.00 so I ordered the SCREW !
Sorry again Paul for not keeping in touch.

I've never seen one or heard of one breaking either.

Do you have the Harley service manual.

    Wow never seen that happen.

The way I do it is

    1) Loosen adjuster on cable
    2) Loosen adjuster nut, back off inner allen adjuster at clutch pack
    3) move clutch lever in and out a few times to set the ball and ramp system
leave the lever in against the grip.
    4) make sure nut on screw is backed out almost all the way, then turn in screw
with allen at clutch, watch the clutch lever, it will start moving out. Turn the adjuster until the lever seats in the mount, now check cable pull by pulling the cable at the mount by the lever back, you should have a dime to nickles width when its set. Adjust accordingly, just get close.
    5) back off adjuster at clutch, lock down jam nut.
    6) check pull out at cable at lever
    7) Fine tune adjust that pull out with the in-line cable adjuster, jam down lock nut and pull up cover.
    8) Pull back clutch, should be spot on.

Never ever overtighten the adjuster, don't take it to the wall, if it moves very hard
something is wrong, there is a small weak, POS bad design HD throw out bearing
on the other end of that rod/adjuster on the pack. If you adjust too tight
you'll burn it up, spend $40 replacing a tiny part that requires a ton of work...

Also if you overtighten the clutch adjuster and
putt too much pressure you can pop out that center plate,
busting the C clip out of the cheap azz aluminum hub center
as it's not designed to take a lot of pressure.

Then ya gonna go drop $400 on a new center hub
a bearing, some clips and labor to change out the center hub.

Point being nothing should be forced or hard to turn here...

    Take your time...
