looking on ebay at a 6 speed tranny from a 2007 ultra glide. my bike is a 2000 flhr or Road King . Looking for input on frame/swingarm fit and any other problems that would make it not a direct fit. It has a manual cable clutch as is mine is. any input apreciated.

Can't help on fit but I hear there will be a gear whine in one of the gears (speed). I think it's 5th) Harley fixed it I believe in 09 or later.

If you can find the part numbers for both cases and they're the same except for an A or B suffix on them it should retro fit,if not you might be able to swap gear sets...

That is correct. Fifth is a straight cut gear. They went helical in 2010 to get rid of the noise but the straight cut is a stronger gear. It was designed that way because it would be 'slammed' into fifth for passing etc. My older FLHT did this too but putting pipes on fixed everything also running BelRay gear oil helped quiet it down.
