Hi guys . Just picked up an ironhead sporty 1977. Motor runs like a dream but when you put it in first gear it wants to bump ahead with the clutch in. previous owner says the clutch is adjusted properly but it does not help.I just got the bike today so have not done anything yet but just thought I would ask. Anyone had this problem? Viking

Well yesterday I had to run Faribault Harley Davidson because they are an S&S dealer to pick up an outer gear drive key that need and forgot to order. while I was there, I was talking with the parts manager whom I know well and happened to ask me where I was taking my bike to get it tuned when it was time. I had happened to say McLeod County Choppers. Of course after that I had gotten the song and dance about how I should go there and blah blah blah. I never thought that I would consider going anywhere but to my guy, but for some reason, I am giving this some real consideration. Their "performance" expert has built a bike that I am familiar with and most of us have seen. Also, I was brought back to the shop and was able to look at some of the project that jason has built and is building....

Yeah it snowed 2 inches here Friday, are you kidding! Still haven't ridden my bike. Almost. Its registered, rocked and ready to roll.
Around here one has to be careful of the large piles of residue salt and the piles of sand in the corners in April. As a rule I like to let April showers work its magic. If not, after a decent days ride and you roll in your bike is a slight shade of salt dustings and which, if left unattended, damaging, don't ask me how I know.
