It's always something . . . just when I think the bike is ready to ride after rebuilding the heads and going through the right side of the tranny. Now the clutch. I run an open primary 1 1/2" BDL belt drive. It was acting a little weird, so I took all the guts out and discovered the inside disc that contacts the inside of the basket was toast - almost half its original thickness was gone and gummed up with aluminum. The inside of the basket was toast also. I'd had a machine shop clean it up once already. BTW, I just put a new set of discs, pressure plate, springs, etc. only a couple thousand miles ago.
I bought the front pulley & basket (BDL) USED (and that may have been my first mistake) and the teeth are starting to groove the drive belt in a few places. Tattoo says I need...

Since I am heading to Deadwood South Dakota for a trial run with the wife as a simulation, I would like to invite any Minnesota and Iowa rider a long for the trip.I was given some advice by Red Rider to simulate a ride that entailed the amount of miles that I want to do when I take my trip out to Nevada. I have decided to take this advice and do it. I will be heading to Deadwood South Dakota and will return the next day. This will be about 1200 miles in about a 24 hour span that I am looking to do.
If you are interested in riding along, let me know and we will coordinate further. I think that this will be a fun, quick adventure to gauge bike durability and wife durability. I hope you decide to join. The time frame that I am looking to do this is Memorial Weekend!!

Been doing some searious jumping around lately, San Antonio, Tuscon, Pheonix, Dalhart, Yuma, Sacramento, Oroville, San Deigo, L.A.(and area), Primm now then Vegas and Reno then back over to Wichita was suppose to go to green bay state though it canceled, as well as smaller towns in between. :witsend: My standard stops to stretch my legs are at the Harley dealers (pick up my dip dots) and a few indy shops, I,m hoping as I have put in enough cash into raffles that I could have at least put a good down payment on one that out of all of these joints that I been to I can win. Pamona is the one I want, a sexy hardbag Roadking I'd love to (after trailering it from the dealer) ride it on home.
Just sayin (sorry cardboard "Just saying")lol
thanks just rattling little.

I ride an 07 street glide. Has any one else but me had starter kickback problems. I was told that year model had some issues with starter kickback. Can't get dealer to tell me much.
I've also experienced the 07 wobble. Any thought how to get rid of the wobble and starter kickback problems?
