Its been awhile since I did something like this, actually in 30 years of riding this is the 5th time. The first time was on my first Harley a '73 Sportster back in the 80's. I pulled into a parking lot got off the bike and took about 5 steps before the bike just fell over. I hadn't kicked the stand out all the way and it didn't lock in place. The second time was last year on my '90 Ultra, I pulled into my parking stall and let the bike lean over onto the stand only it just kept going...the idiot operator forgot to put the stand down!! 
The third and fourth time were on the the same bike, my foot slipped on some loose gravel as I came to a stop (A good argument for not wearing slippers while riding). Today I was coming to an intersection where the lane in front of me split into...

Took the Springer out today for a ride and for the first time this year I was able to ride in a T-shirt. Temp got up to 80 today. Any day riding your bike is a better day then having to work on it.
