All - looking for a little guidance - I have a 2000 Softail, running SE air filter, Andrews N21 cams, and slip ons.
Current jetting is 46 slow, 190 main, N65C needle shimmed up .038" - gas mileage is good - getting around 46mpg at 70. However, have to give it a lot of throttle to wake it up it seems, and the plugs look a little lean.
I have an N72E needle as well, which is richer towards the end of the needle more or less. Anyone tried this needle, or have any other suggestions? I was thinking of going to a 195 main as well. Had to pull the exhaust recently, and noticed the exhaust valves are a grayish white as well. Oil temp is around 235 at 70 mph on an 80 degree day .... Just cautious about being too lean - will eventually get a dyno tune but can't right now (time and money lol)...

Damn red eyed bastards are just starting to appear all over the place...Shells all over the trees and holes in the ground every 4 - 8 inches...Just love it when they go crunch under my feet...I seriously may not go for a ride this weekend because of them...You should have seen some of the windshields at the bus stop this morning...They should be gone in two weeks or so and then back again in 17 years...

A couple of the Die Hard Harley people I know traded their bikes for Goldings.
They was in Eureka Springs riding with us..
120 hp
10 mpg better fuel milage, 50 mpg..
Faster, whole lot... Handle the curves as fast as any Harley...
Git caught in traffic, no problem ... Thy don't run hot..
I was super impressed...
