I've read the tutorials on how to set the float level on the cv carbs. I'm just wondering about the process. Why does the carb need to be placed on an 18 degree incline to adjust float level? I've worked on a lot of other carbs and with most you just turn them upside down and check float level with the needle fully seated. Should the needle be fully seated in the seat when it's at 18 degrees of incline and if so how would it change anything to turn it completely upside down? I appreciate any help. I like to understand things when I do them. Makes it easier to troubleshoot later on.

While the devastation and death toll is great and very sad in Moore just outside of Oklahoma City I saw a Fox News interviewer standing in the rubble and what did I see sticking up in the background. A Harley Davidson sign sticking up in the air, they must have just been spared the force of that F-4 Tornado.
Those Tornados have some massive power. Prayers out to all those families who lost loved ones and their homes.

I have a 2013 Street Glide with Rush slip-ons 2.5 diameter, high flow air filter. I remapped the computer using a dynajet down load, pipes immediately began to turn color, in less than a hundred miles.
The reason I'm curious about this is that my last bike I had Vance and Hines fuel pak and pipes and did not have this much discoloration with 38,000 miles on the pipes.
My question is this normal or is there something else I need to address?
