If any of you happen to be riding through Vicksburg, Michigan and find a shifter peg lying by the road, it`s mine. I was heading to my favorite restaurant for breakfast this morning, went through a turn, went to upshift, and discovered I had no peg to step on.:gah:

If you were building a BIG DISPLACEMENT engine, how would yo go about it? Would you obtain the displacement through stroking or rather through case boring and installing big ass jugs?
My definition of Big Displacement is anything over 110 CI. Would you want this engine as a cruising engine or a flat out hold on to your pants and hold on type bike? A straight line bar hopper?
I am just curious as to what methods each would use and why.

I got tired of screwen with the starter cause its time to ride, I still had that short to find and was beaten my brains out lookin for it when my wife called and told me - screw that bike for a while and go fishin so you can get your mind rite. I came back from the lake three hrs. later and that sum-bich fell together and fired on the secon kik. dammit, sommtimes they can make goog decisions. I'll be in the wind soon as the rain leaves an som sun comes out.

I have 2003 1800 retro
I can get about 15-20 starts from the battery and then it's to weaK to start. I have gotten to the point that I carry a charger with me and when we stop overnight I charge it. It will run all daywith out dying on me but have gotten stuck in some bad positions before ,( like walking 2.5 mile
s to buy new battery)
Problem is I have 4000 mile trip next month and would really rather have this problem solved ,especially since I just installed fairing with stereo. I dont want to stop for gas and have to ask for a jump to get started again.

Can't find who made this bike. Has 110cu.in revtech engine with a Ultima ignition module. Did research on Ultima, bit it doesn't control the speedo or tack. Does amyone know were the speedo gets it's input from?
